Our compounding lab is designed specifically for the preparation of customised medications, separately for both Veterinary and Human Preperations. The lab is typically staffed by 5 trained pharmacists, over 10 different technicians, and other professionals who are knowledgeable in the field of veterinary medicine. The lab is equipped with specialised equipment and tools that allow for the preparation of a wide range of medications, including oral medications, topical creams, otic preparations and more.
Our Compounding lab adheres to strict guidelines and regulations set forth by the Pharmacy council and other regulatory agencies to ensure the safety and efficacy of the medications produced. Our pharmacists work closely with Prescribers to understand the specific needs of each patient and to develop customised medications that meet those needs.
Our lab uses a variety of techniques to prepare medications, including mixing, blending, milling, and encapsulating. We also use specialised equipment, such as a compounding hood and laminar flow hood, to ensure that the medications are prepared in a clean contaminant free environment.
All of our equipment undergoes rigorous monthly and or yearly certification by NATA to ensure that our equipment is operating at the highest of standards.
